the big clean out September 2016
so the worm farm hadn't been emptied for a few years. we were concerned that our worms were no longer living in a healthy environment so we asked the wonderful Ruth to come and help us. We began by digging into the compact castings, Ruth was very impressed, great quality castings, thick and rich. Good enough to sell even, two bags sold already! There is atiny whit worm like creature living with our worms, however Ruth belives they are slater lavae. We now have fresh castings on all our planting beds and a rejouvinated worm farm.

Last week, we weeded the front gardens, dug over compost and worm castings into the soil. They are now ready for planting.
Today, we planted out the front gardens and black pots. We have planted lobelia, which will look beautiful, broccoli, lettuce and spinach. The two front pots are planted with lavender. Thanks Emma, Jack, Jasmine, Eve, Hanna, Brooke and Georgia, you have done a great job.
